Appointment Information

The Greenstone Family Health Team operates by appointment. The administrative staff will ask you a few brief questions when you call to book an appointment, in order to provide you with the correct care and care provider for the type of appointment you require. Most of the appointments are pre-booked for routine or chronic health care issues, but we do have a small number of daily appointments available from Monday to Friday (ADVANCED ACCESS) that can be booked the same day if your need is URGENT. The ADVANCED ACCESS appointments can be booked by calling the reception desk at 807-854-0051 ext. 0 at 9:00 am on the same day.

The Greenstone Family Health Team reception is available from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm. However our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:00. Please sign in for all appointments at the self check in tablets located on the right wall.

The Greenstone Family Health Team is NOT open on the weekend. If you require EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE please visit the Geraldton District Hospital, they are located at 500 Hogarth Avenue West and can be reached at 807-854-1862.

Efficient scheduling is an important part of your primary health care experience. We appreciate you respect for our daily schedule which allows our staff to be on time to service all the scheduled patients.

To enable us to provide timely efficient care, we ask for you cooperation with the following guidelines:

  1. On time arrival: Please arrive at, or just before your schedule appointment time.
  2. Bring your HEALTH CARD to every appointment, this is required to register.
  3. Late arrival: If you arrive LATE for your appointment, we will process you as follows; If you are less than 10 minutes late for you schedules appointment, we will check with the health care provider to see if you appointment can still be accommodated. There is no guarantee that you will still be seen. Because LATE ARRIVALS cause a delay for those patients who are on time, if you are greater than 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you will NOT be seen by your provider and we will reschedule you appointment when you report to the reception desk.
  4. Rescheduling: You are responsible for contacting our office to CANCEL or RESCHEDULE your appointment in a timely manner, in order for us to schedule someone in your appointment slot. Patients who miss an appointment without cancellation will be considered a “NO SHOW”. We maintain a cancellation list of patients waiting to be seen. If you must reschedule, we will be assigning one of these patients into the appointment slot you have vacated.
